Mastering Your Golf Swing: The Impact Challenge with 4D Motion

Why the Impact Position Matters

The impact position is often referred to as the "moment of truth" in a golfer’s swing. It’s the split-second when everything comes together — rotation, posture, and alignment — and it heavily influences ball flight, distance, and accuracy.

Getting Started: The Setup

  1. Open the 4D Motion app and select "Start Training – P Zero Address".
  2. Check the “Redo Body Calibration” box on the home screen.
  3. Go into the settings (gear icon) and toggle off everything except impact.
  4. Set difficulty to 100% and focus only on pelvic rotation.

This allows you to isolate one movement pattern and develop the proper feel for it.

Train with Purpose: Feel the Tour-Quality Difference

Hold your position for a few seconds when you reach the target zone to build muscle memory. As you improve, increase the challenge by:

  • Adding pelvic side bend
  • Combining rotation + bend
  • Working your way down to tour range (0%)

Struggling with Mobility or Consistency?

If you’re having trouble reaching the right positions, especially when rotating into your lead leg, focus on loading into the lead side. The 4D Motion app will alert you in real time when you’re out of position — so you can correct on the spot.

Progression: From Pelvis to Chest

Once you can consistently hit all three pelvis checkpoints — rotation, side bend, and bend — you’re ready to move on to the chest/torso phase.

We recommend completing 3 sets of 10 successful reps before moving on. Stick with it and you'll see the difference.
